Most traditional classrooms are dominated by teacher’s one-way presentations. As a result, there is also too little time left for class practice, not to mention time for asking learners to reflect on their learning. Teaching contents are in most cases one-size-fit-all, and learners are busy taking notes on their own rather than absorbing new knowledge through a reasonable level of team-workmanship and collaboration. Another drawback of the traditional
classroom is that it does not encourage critical thinking - the ability to actively apply information gained through experience and reasoning. The learning contents are only simple concepts at surface level.

Solution
Solution is padlet, padlet is a virtual classroom that is device-neutral, as it works on any internet-enabled device, including: PC, laptop, tablet, smartphone. This means it can work easily in any school which is making use of a mixture of devices. Another selling point is that no software or apps need to be downloaded or installed, so it can be used immediately by anyone with internet access.
Padlet, a ‘free’ web 2.0 tool, is a platform where virtual walls can be created. A virtual wall functions like a notice or a white board where one can pin multiple and different types of files (word documents, images, audio files, videos) on. The creator of a wall has control over the content, design, layout and privacy of the walls. When designing a wall, the creator can choose from the different ‘wallpapers’ given to design the background of a wall and when there are multiple postings on a wall, he or she can ‘arrange’ them in different layout. The creator of a wall can also control who can access the walls by making changes to the privacy setting.
For example, he or she can make the walls exclusive (by providing visitors the QR code, the links and/or passwords to the walls) or make the walls public (walls can be ‘found’ through internal or Google searches).
The links/addresses to the walls can be personalised. Furthermore, the creator can also ‘control’ what visitors can do on the wall, for example he or she can allow visitors

The creator can also moderate posts before letting others view them. The content of a wall is permanent unless it is deleted or the wall is deleted.
